Tita Global Space Academy (TGSA) has signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement with MELiSSA Foundation, bringing European research in space life support directly into TGSA’s professional training programmes.
Under this agreement, MELiSSA Foundation serves as the preferred European Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) science partner of Tita Global Space Academy, providing access to its expert network, contributing scientific knowledge and supporting content development. TGSA’s course content therefore reflects the current state of research in the field, including direct input from practitioners at the forefront of European life support science.
In line with MELiSSA Foundation’s mandate to support education and outreach across the MELiSSA research ecosystem, this partnership extends that mission into professional space education. MELiSSA Foundation also holds a seat on TGSA’s Advisory Board, providing ongoing strategic scientific input into the course portfolio and co-developed programme content.
The first TGSA course, focusing on ECLSS, launches in Q1 2027. Full course details and registration will be available from January 2027 at titaglobal.com.
About Tita Global Space Academy
Tita Global Space Academy (TGSA) delivers executive training for space agencies, contractors, commercial operators and graduate-level professionals. About MELiSSA Foundation
MELiSSA Foundation is a Belgian foundation and a member of the MELiSSA Consortium, dedicated to supporting education, outreach and communication across the MELiSSA research ecosystem. The Foundation connects MELiSSA’s scientific expertise with external partners, extending the reach of this research well beyond the consortium.
MELiSSA (Micro-Ecological Life Support System Alternative) is Europe’s leading research programme in closed ecological life support systems, developed under ESA and active for over three decades. The programme develops regenerative life support technology to sustain crews on long-duration missions, recovering food, water and oxygen from waste, with applications for lunar bases, missions to Mars and, increasingly, for closed-loop systems on Earth.
