ESA BIC Sweden Alumni TERASi raises €11 million in seed funding - with it NATO Innovation Fund does its first direct investment in Sweden
We are proud to see our ESA BIC Sweden Alumni company TERASi enter a new phase of growth with an €11 million seed round co-led by NATO Innovation Fund and Join Capital. Founded as a KTH spin-off, TERASi develops compact, high-performance millimetre-wave communication technology for secure and resilient connectivity in demanding environments, with applications across defence, SATCOM, telecom and other critical operations.
The company’s journey also includes an ESA-backed development project for compact, high-performance antennas for W-band satellite communications — further strengthening the connection between TERASi’s deep-tech innovation and the space sector. The new investment will support TERASi in accelerating the deployment of its technology and expanding its capabilities. For NATO Innovation Fund, the investment marks its first direct investment in Sweden. From Swedish research and the ESA BIC ecosystem to technologies addressing critical challenges on Earth and in space — this is exactly the kind of deep-tech journey we are proud to support.
